PARTICIPATION OF CITEA IN THE PAN-EUROPEAN DIGITAL EUROPE CONFERENCE

The Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA), a member of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), participated in the Pan-European DIGITAL EUROPE Conference, held in Copenhagen on May 15–16, 2025. The Association was represented by Mr. Kyriakos Kyriakou, Head of the European Programs Committee.

The conference brought together representatives from 25 European Union member states, as well as officials from the Danish government. The purpose of the meeting was to define strategic priorities for the EU’s digital and technology policy in view of the upcoming Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

As an active member of DIGITAL EUROPE, CITEA took part in discussions focused on strengthening the Digital Single Market, enhancing European leadership in critical technologies such as artificial intelligence, microchips, and cybersecurity, as well as facilitating innovation investments and reducing bureaucratic barriers for tech enterprises.

The next Pan-European DIGITAL EUROPE members’ meeting will be held in October 2025 in Nicosia, as part of the upcoming Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. CITEA will host the event.
