4th CITEA DIGITAL CYPRUS CONFERENCE: DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AS A CATALYST FOR BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION
The 4th CITEA Digital Cyprus Conference, titled “Driving Business Success through Digital Technologies”, was successfully held on June 20, 2025, in Nicosia, with the participation of prominent executives from both the private and public sectors.
The conference focused on how digital technologies are transforming the business landscape, offering tools for agility, innovation, and strategic growth. Particular emphasis was placed on key topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, user digital experience, and fostering a digital culture within organizations.
The conference was officially opened by the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Dr. Nikodimos Damianou, who highlighted the importance of technology as a growth driver for the Cypriot economy and society. In parallel, the President of CITEA, Mr. Dimitris Nisiotis, underlined the importance of continuous evolution and the Association’s role in shaping a robust digital ecosystem in Cyprus.
A highlight of the conference was the CITEA Awards Ceremony—an established institution recognizing individuals who have significantly contributed to the advancement of the ICT sector in Cyprus. During the ceremony, the CITEA 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award was posthumously presented to the late Panicos Akritas for his longstanding and impactful contribution to the development of information technology in Cyprus. The CITEA Women in Tech 2025 Award was presented to Ms. Maria Militsopoulou, in recognition of her outstanding professional achievements and the inspiration she provides to other women in the tech field.
In the exhibition area of the conference, several member companies and sponsors of the Association showcased their businesses and technological solutions.
