The 2nd CITEA DIGITAL CYPRUS CONFERENCE, which took place on Thursday, June 22, 2023, was completed with great success.
The conference attendance exceeded all expectations, with the participation of more than 600 delegates who had the opportunity to be informed about the new trends in smart technologies and artificial intelligence, which are expected to reshape both the business and social landscape.
The conference featured distinguished speakers from the field of information technology, both from Cyprus and abroad, who shared their knowledge and experiences regarding the trends in smart technologies, the importance of cybersecurity, and the applications of artificial intelligence across the spectrum of business activities.
The findings of the Digital Cyprus Survey, conducted by IMR on behalf of CITEA, were particularly interesting. The survey explored issues such as the significance of digital transformation, key digital challenges, and the priorities set by businesses. The full results of the survey will be presented in the coming months.
A special moment of the conference was the acknowledgement of four individuals who have made their mark on the development and shaping of the IT sector in Cyprus, through the CITEA awards.
The awards were received by the former Deputy Minister of Research and Innovation, Kyriakos Kokkinos, the President of the Cyprus Computer Society, Kostas Agrotis, and former President of the Republic of Cyprus, George Vassiliou. The ‘’in memoriam’’ award, was awarded to the first President of the CITEA, Michalis Michailidis. The awards were presented by the President of CITEA, Dimitris Nissiotis and the Board of Directors of the Association.
CITEA would like to thank the speakers, participants, exhibitors, sponsors for their remarkable contribution, as well IMH, for the coordination of the conference. We are confident that the next conference to follow will be even more successful.
